American performer Allison Brooks Janney was born November 19th 1959. In her nearly thirty years, Allison Brooks Janney has been praised as a stage actress and a film actor for her performance. Janney has won several awards. These include the Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award along with numerous others. In addition, she was awarded Seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Two Tony Awards were nominated. Janney was raised in Dayton, Ohio. She was born in and brought up in Boston. Following her graduation of Kenyon College, she received a full scholarship at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Janney began her TV debut in 1999 as C. J. Cregg who played the character in NBC's drama series The West Wing (1999 to 2006) and won four Primetime Emmy Awards. Janney was awarded her Primetime Emmy Award for 2014 Outstanding Guest Actress in the Drama Series for her performance in the role of Margaret Scully on the Showtime series Masters of Sex. Janney was nominated at least six times for Primetime Emmy Awards and twice took home the Outstanding Supporting Actress Comedy Series.
