Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian TV presenter and actress. Her most well-known work is the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Born the only child to Romanian actors Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her showbiz career in the early years of her life. At the age of 16, she reached the age of 16years old, Alexandra was able to land the leading roles in numerous television dramas. Her performance as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historical war film), was critically and commercially acclaimed. The other Oscar nominated movies featuring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Over the years Alexandra was involved in numerous noteworthy national and international projects. These projects included British biographical film Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon as well as other. In addition, she was a member of the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
